My Students

We have some great magnetic math manipulatives but have nothing to stick them too! My students love coming up and counting with a ten frame and math rack, but it is always falling off the shelf! Please help by supplying us with a magnetic white board we can stick things to and write on.

We are a small urban school.

My students love to learn and are always eager to come up to the front of the class and share their knowledge. We are lucky to have all the technology we need, but are missing a simple white board to write on at the front of our room. It would be really awesome if we could get one that is magnetic and we could stick our math manipulatives to it as well as write on.

My Project

We are implementing the common core standards in math and language arts and my students love using all kinds of manipulatives. I have some great magnetic ten frames and math racks that I keep on a shelf but are really difficult to use. If we had a magnetic white board, we could attach our manipulatives to the white board and the students could write as well as explain what they are doing at the front of our class.

This project will help my students be hands on in exploring the common core standards.

Not only will a magnetic white board let them show their work, it will also encourage them to come to the front of the room and work on their speaking skills.
