My Students

I teach reading, writing, and American history to a hilarious group of seventh graders on the Lower East Side.

Most of my students are Mandarin speakers, and they tend to favor Math and Science in their abilities.

Like all seventh graders, they have a ton of energy, and they make me laugh every single day. I am working to improve their writing, but there is only one way to do that-- BY WRITING!

My Project

My students need to type their papers for my class, but they have no place to print them out. Often, many students handwrite papers because of this problem. I have a Lexmark E332n printer, but no toner cartridges. They need to write and revise, which is vastly easier when you have the ability to print!

A donation of a printer cartridge will definitely change my students' lives for the better.

We will do more writing, and they will be able to read more easily what others have written. I can not stress how important this is!
