Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As the end of the school year approaches, it's time to put my students' skills to the test. My students will be taking part in mandated state testing and others will compete in the Special Olympics. Students have worked hard all year for both of these events. Testing is extremely challenging. As a special education teacher, the vast majority of my students are not working on grade level yet they have to take the state test on grade level. This is extremely frustrating for them. When testing is complete, both students and teachers sigh with relief. My students have trained all year for the Special Olympics. It concludes with my students competing against other athletes. At the conclusion of both of these events, I want to celebrate my students' accomplishments.

No matter the results, my students are Winners!
