My Students

What makes my scholars special is that they have a passion to strive for their long-life learning. Their perseverance is out of this world because they have a heart of gold and always give it 100 percent. They are fully aware that it’s important in any new situation to question everything. They understand why things have been done a certain way, and because of that, they are eager to step out of the box and face challenges. Their strive to intake all that they have learned and implement it in their daily lives is an inspiration to all the teachers that have seen their growth and success.

My Project

The use of drawing tablet is almost a daily activity in my classroom, especially in math. writing and reading. The drawing tablet allow me to see exactly what they are doing, as well as provide an easy place for them to show and share their work. What becomes a problem is the fact that pencils break never seem to last, erasers seem to disappear. When something goes awry, students know that they must leave their desk quietly to get a new marker, new eraser, or the last choice, pencil and paper. Even though they are great about doing this, it is distracting for many of my students who have focusing issues and they miss important instruction form either myself or other students. By having drawing tablets, students will be able to avoid all of these problems and focus on increasing their learning!

In this fast pacing literate world, any interaction with updated technology will increase their literacy as well as their desire to learn and use new technology to become successful life-long learners.
