My Project

This project aims to bring social-emotional tools to my preschool classroom. Learning to regulate our emotions is essential in preschool to learn how to play with friends, follow routines, and prepare for Kindergarten. The pictures that show emotions, emotion pictures and books, emotion stones, natural muted colors, and sensory fidgets will help my students self-regulate.

Children who cannot learn to regulate their emotions positively are more likely to have behavior problems at school and home—having self-soothing activities and books where we can read about emotions and ways to help us calm down to be productive in society.
