My Project

Books for all learners are one of the ways to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. My guided reading groups are a part of the day that students really enjoy. Every student book for guided reading is used to motivate students and develop a love of reading.

The goal of this project is to foster a love of reading, so students are more successful in life.

It's imperative for students to have high interest books to develop this.

Many of my students don't have books at home to expose them to print. Their only experience with books are in school. The lack of exposure results in many students whom are non-readers entering second grade making low level books essential.
