My Students

The fifth grade students in the classroom are truly unique-- they are hardworking, creative, innovative, and motivated to come to school each day and put their best effort forward to soar academically.

We come from an amazing school and community, but we still need resources to supplement our learning experience and inquiry.

We want to move past the typical curriculum and teachers guides, and provide the students with a comprehensive learning experience that is a hands on, interactive, and engaging.

My Project

Going beyond the textbook is something I have always felt was necessary to balance out the curriculum, and Scholastic News is a way to spark the interest of magazines and newspapers which have not garnered too much attention due to the rise and use of technology and the internet.

Your generous donation will be applied towards reading materials that will spark an interest to current events in the world, so they can delve into non-fiction pieces that are interesting.

I want them to find a love for reading, and make connections to their place in the world through these articles.
