Help me give my students an immersive experience when purchasing incentives from their school store. We're encouraging students to utilize their positive behavior points to be able to save and spend them on an all-needs met school store.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students are currently enrolled in our Title 1 elementary school, where coming to school every day is their safe haven. We have grown leaps and bounds with our students coming in the morning ready to learn and to show off all of the skills that they have mastered within our building. We have started up a new incentive program to better meet their needs and ensure that we are able to provide options and rewards for them and their families.
We aim to provide wraparound services and resources to our students and this store will be reflective of that.
We have heard our students' voices and have taken into consideration all of the things that they have requested for their success at school as well as at home. These items span to be simple things from treats and trinkets to more complex things like home goods and holiday items.
Not only do we aim to provide these items for our students but also want to make sure that they are being stored and displayed with nice presentation to make a more efficient and immersive shopping experience. This includes gift packaging and presentation.
Our students show up to school every day despite the adversity and challenges that they experience. They are kind, resilient, and empowered learners. We want to give them all of the tools and motivation to feel successful at school, every day.
