Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We have a large class of 30 students (most of the students are ELL's and students with disabilities) which raises the need for smaller groups to differentiate instruction targeted toward each child's unique need to help them reach their learning potential!

Our class is a group of vivacious, happy, and energetic fourth graders.

We are learning so many new things every day. My students come with many learning styles and learning needs. Because of the diverse learning styles my students possess, it is important to find ways to challenge them or remediate skills on an individual basis.

We are a Title I school in a working class neighborhood. Many students' parents/guardians need support and structure as to how they can help their children at home. My students need take home materials for practice, differentiated learning, family involvement. WE need family engagement packs.

My Project

We are ready to take what we're learning home to our families! Family Engagement "Take Home Packs" will allow my students and parents to participate in fun interactive activities while building important literacy and math skills! A Take Home Pack is not traditional "home-work" but rather a way for families to build communication within the home, give additional support, or provide enrichment for their child, but most of all take an active role in their child's education!

These family engagement packs will improve student literacy and math skills by allowing students and parents to practice skills in a natural environment.

Parents will be able to see the skills their children are learning and areas needing extra practice for academic success. They provide needed resources in a convenient package to give parents everything they need to help their child with confidence!
