My Project

My Special Education students struggle with reading and math skills and I would love to be able to provide them accessible technology in the classroom with engaging and interactive lesson tools. My students have a variety of eligibility such as autism, ADHD, and visual and auditory processing disorders. Using games helps my students stay focused and builds confidence as they see how successful they can be.

Providing my Special Education students with Fire Tablets, headphones, and Osmo Genius Starter Kits will encourage my reluctant learners to have fun with learning and motivate them to practice valuable foundational skills.

My goal for this project is to build a classroom that meets the needs of all my diverse learners by integrating gamification and play into my daily practice. My students have shown interest in using technology, but we do not have resources available so this project would make a tremendous difference in the lives of my amazing learners.
