This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My project is a repost. I would like for you all to really consider taking time to read this. I am currently working with students in the computer lab to advance them in the skills of using the computers. The grades I cover are 1st - 5th. Watching them enjoy their way around the computer is overwhelming, especially for the little ones.

What I love about my students is that when they come to the lab, is their eagerness learn and their happy faces entering the lab.

We have gone through a lot the past 3 years and now we are bouncing back from the pandemic and ready to go. The headphones and headphone holders will equip them for learning and being organized within their spaces. I want to introduce them to self-organized learning. A simple educational approach designed to promote and foster self-empowerment for our leaners to function in their school setting. If we can have this approach in just a short time of teaching, it can have a greater impact later in life.

My students are noticeably more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers when they are given a choice of headphones. Currently we don't have enough to rotate through the 15 classes that come through the lab. I would like to have 1 good set of 25 and keep them in the lab for the students.
