Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My third graders are a bilingual group that is always ready to learn. They are curious, resilient, and hardworking kids that love learning new things, sometimes in the classroom and sometimes in the virtual world.

My students are excited about school and ready to grow as bilingual citizens of the world.

They are a highly motivated group of kids, mostly from immigrant families that are passionate and curious about the world around them.

My Project

Covid made teaching more dependable on technology than ever before. With school closures and distance learning, I came to understand that having technology that works will improve my lessons and the engagement of my students. I have found myself creating lessons, videotaping them, and sharing them with my students and families. My students and also their families have been very appreciative of being able to rewatch my lessons at home with their children.

A camera and headphones will allow me to keep my students engaged in the lesson and maximize virtual and in-person instructional time.

With an updated camera I will be able to record my lessons and provide my students and families with clarity.
