My Students

I have been blessed with the sweetest class of 2nd graders! They are so amazing and inquisitive. We are a mixture of all different races and are 50/50 boys and girls. A large percentage of my students qualify for free/reduced-price lunch. They are so motivated to learn and I am dedicated to giving them the best of myself! It's easy to do when they come in with huge smiles on their faces ready for a big hug. I want them to feel successful while learning. 2nd grade is a big year where SO much growth occurs. I want to provide them with learning experiences that will last a lifetime.

My Project

We have some awesome Chromebooks that the kids are getting to use this year, but we really need some new headphones. My kiddos are having to use the desktops if they are doing a program they need to hear and can only use the Chromebooks for things without sound. I would really like to make our Chromebooks more functional.

I recently became a Google Certified Educator and am trying to get my kiddos into online learning through the use of Google Classroom.

They are excited and ready to learn, but need some help being able to hear many of the programs we like to use. Our poor old headphones just won't cut it anymore. They either had to be taped together and don't fit correctly, or they simple had to be thrown away. The headphones that I found here on Donor's Choose seem really sturdy and look like they would last a good long while with extra care taken to them. I would really appreciate any help you could give to afford them the opportunity to incorporate technology into our everyday learning.
