Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a group of fourth-grade students who are highly enthusiastic and eager to learn something new every single day.

My students always try their best at everything and anything despite the challenges that they face in their daily lives.

My students live in an impoverished area of South Los Angeles. All of my students come from low-income families. We are a Title I school where one hundred percent of our students receive free meals. My students do not all have the same opportunities at home and thus need to be exposed to as many opportunities as possible at school.

My Project

Have you ever tried to use a laptop with no headphones? We all know that it is not fun. My students love Chromebook day, but unfortunately, we do not have a class set of headphones to use on our Chromebook day. Our school district has bought us three fun, educational programs (Lexia, Raz-Kids, and Dreambox) that we can use but unfortunately we don't have headphones to listen to the fun audio. These programs require my students to listen to the audio in order to learn and answer questions. We are asking for a class set of headphones to solve this problem.

With your help, my students will each have their own headphones to use at school on our Chromebook day.
