My Project

A high school robotics competition requires more than a drive-team and a pit crew. A focused and tenacious scouting team is a necessity. Each member of the scouting team observes and notes the actions of the 6 robots competing per match – with over 35 matches per day. After sitting in hard bleachers for 10 hours analyzing robot performance during a competition; then attending a 2-hour strategy meeting at the end of a 10 day of robot competition, my students are physically worn out.

Even with timely breaks, the work can be stressful and exhausting.

The stadium seats will soften the bleachers for the scouts. This should reduce the fatigue and stress from prolonged sitting on metal bleachers.
