Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

All the students descend from Spanish speaking backgrounds and almost all the families come from low income households. The children are mostly exposed to people and traditions that are similar to their own. They have very limited exposure to other cultures.

I want to provide a window to expose the students to other cultures by means of making accessible to the a variety of ethnic people and cultural foods.

The students will learn to respect and accept people that look different and eat different foods by meaning of purposeful playing. It will help to broaden their world knowledge about people's differences and similarities. The puzzles help the students to develop visual coordination and learn basic age skills that are necessary to living in a world rich in cultures.
