This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

After teaching for 12 years, I’ve tried every which way to give my students all possible resources to better their education. I love how excited they get about learning science and want to make sure I can engage them at all times.

My students are very young yet their minds are always on the go wanting to explore as much as possible.

The more hands-on that I can give them the more they will be able to learn. There's nothing like seeing their smile at the opportunity to see science right in front of them.

My Project

These materials will help me start out my science classroom. Even though I’ve been teaching for a few years, it will be my first time teaching first grade science. I want to have the best resources to keep my students engaged and interested.

Walking into my classroom this year and seeing how limited the resources are makes it very difficult for a teacher.

I want to be able to include as many hands on projects as possible to be able to incorporate the world of STEM and robotics to such young minds. Kids truly love being able to explore new ideas and concepts.
