Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are open to new challenges to help them improve their math skills or to learn new math concepts. They enjoy collaborating with each other and learning from each other through friendly class competitions that are fun and educational at the same time.

My Project

The materials requested for this project will allow all my learners to engage in review and new learning activities by utilizing different tools to represent their math solutions.

Student engagement and interest will increase if students are given an alternate method of writing their solutions, for example with dry erase markers and on a dry erase aboard instead of on paper.

When I ask students to demonstrate their calculations on sheet protectors as an alternative, they are eager to begin. However, the sheet protectors easily deteriorate over time. I would like a more durable and easier to manipulate item for my students to use at their desk.
