My Students

The students of the Algonac Robotics club are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! Every time we have a team meeting, they are challenged to meet a task and build a robot to meet the game challenges. Students of the Algonac Robotics Club are able to participate in a world class robotics competition event even if they are from a small rural community in Michigan becuase of their hard work, ethics and desire to succeed and learn how to use STEM to better their life and environment they live in.

My Project

This project is to fully fund an extra LEGO Mindstorms EV3 core module set, two large motors and a color sensor.

This will allow our team to increase hands on time by having more of the core module available for them to use.

This will, in fact, increase the ratio to 3 students per robots and should help accelerate their programming learning for the next season.

Our FIRST LEGO League Team include 9 students from the Algonac Community School and we are part of the Algonac Robotics club, which includes students in all four levels of FIRST [For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology] programs.

Algonac Community School STEM budget is pretty limited so any help on this project help our mission to promote STEM with the students in our community.
