My Students

Our highly diverse school allows me to work with many students from different backgrounds. Our school also represents 20 different countries! I have a diverse group of students from many linguistic backgrounds. My classroom includes students from Mexico, Somalia, Bosnia and Vietnam.

Making every student feel worthy, comfortable and safe in my classroom is the start of a good education.

My classroom is full of bright, fun loving students who are eager to learn!

I want to foster each child's love of learning while helping each of them feel successful. One step in reaching this goal is to provide my students with a variety of technology to support their learning.

My Project

Imagine a classroom where the teacher can work with a small group of students while the other students can get their questions answered quickly without interrupting. Having Echo in the classroom will keep students learning while having fun! Amazon Echo is a digital virtual assistant that could perform all sorts of tasks. I could think of a million ways Echo could help my 4th grade students! Alexa, does 8x9=72? Alexa, set the timer for 10 minutes. Alexa, what is a synonym for hungry? Alexa, what is an adverb? Alexa, pick a number 1-20. The possibilities are endless with Echo in the classroom!
