My Students

My students come from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds, but come to school every day ready to grow. At my school, children learn through hands-on exploration and cross-curricular instruction, supported by a STEAM-focused curriculum.

“What,” “why,” "when," and “how” are words that are embraced and encouraged in my classroom.

Students are agents of their own learning and given the space to investigate their interests. My classroom is a place for students to grow, imagine, build, and thrive, all through learning.

My Project

Alexa, how do you spell? Alexa, can you set a timer for? Alexa, what does ___ mean? Alexa, how big is ___? Incorporating Alexa with a wireless Bluetooth speaker will motivate students to do a number of things such as asking and researching questions, listening to music, news, setting as a timer to keep us on track, and much more. We are also requesting additional organizational items for students to use during independent and center work.

Infusing technology into the classroom throughout the day is so important in making lessons active and engaging for young learners.

First graders love to move, ask inquisitive questions, and utilize technology to motivate their learning experiences! These materials will help to infuse technology throughout the day and provide an organized and engaging classroom experience. Thank you for supporting learning within our classroom!
