My Students

We are a diverse classroom of students looking to "grow stronger and taller every day in a peaceful way." As learners in the 21st Century, we value interdisciplinary learning as a community of “lead-learners.” We recognize the power of consuming knowledge to the benefit of personal and professional goals, as well as the achievements to come.

This means discovering, recognizing, celebrating and connecting our learning differences to make our classroom and the larger community a better place by leveraging the digital world.

My Project

We need portable air purifiers in our classrooms.

Safely returning to the classroom setting in the middle of the current surge of the highly contagious SARS-Cov-2 delta variant requires using a variety of interventions to reduce Covid-19 infection risk for students and staff, in addition to protecting the larger community.

While we have current intervention strategies in place, it does not include portable air purifiers in our classrooms. While provided in our classrooms SY20-21, they were unfortunately removed from our classroom by our school District over summer break. We need your help getting them back!

The use of portable air purifiers is a proven risk reduction strategy that involves reducing the concentration of infectious SARS-Cov-2 virus particles by filtering them out of classroom air. Use of portable classroom air filtration systems, along with existing central air filtration systems with MERV13 filters, will provide of robust system for removing viruses from the air in addition to improving air flow.
