Aid Energetic Students in Finding Calm and Focus for Learning
Help me give my students quality, long-lasting wiggle stools crafted by Lakeshore. These stools will significantly benefit their sensory input requirements and give flexible seating opportunities for my kiddos who need to move!
In our class of lively, energetic, and simply amazing students, we have a high need for movement throughout the day. These stools will provide a subtle way for students to engage in movement while seated, which can enhance their focus and learning experience. Wiggle stools will be such a valuable addition to our classroom! Ranging from improved focus, sensory regulation, to better physical health and inclusivity to my students with high/special needs. These stools can help transform the learning experience, allowing ALL of my students to thrive!
One of the primary benefits of wiggle stools is their ability to help students self-manage their energy levels.
For children who have difficulty sitting still, the stools allow for gentle, continuous motion, enabling them to release excess energy in a controlled manner. This movement can reduce restlessness and fidgeting, creating more conductive environment for concentration and learning. Wiggle stools also support sensory integration. Many of my students have sensory processing disorders, ADHD, or autism. They require sensory specific inputs to stay focused and calm. The subtle movement that they'll be able to receive from your donation will offer proprioceptive input, which can help regulate the sensory system, leading to improved attention and behavior in the classroom.
The use of wiggle stools also enhances their core strength and posture. Traditional chairs encourage static sitting, which can lead to slouching and decreased muscle engagement. In contrast, wiggle stools promote active sitting, requiring students to use their core muscles to maintain balance. This can improve posture and physical stability over time. Additionally, wiggle stools can foster an inclusive classroom environment. With your help, I'll be able to accommodate various sensory needs and provide alternative seating options, and I am able to create a more adaptable and supportive learning space for ALL of my students.
