Keeping our kindergarteners energized and ready to learn all day is important! After lunch, their busy brains and bodies might need a little extra help to stay focused and happy until pickup. Sugary snacks can give a quick burst of energy, but then kids often feel tired and grumpy soon after.
Think of it like this: healthy afternoon snacks are like giving your child super strong building blocks for their brain!
Instead of feeling tired and frustrated, imagine your child playing happily, learning lots of new things, and making new friends all afternoon. That's the power of a healthy afternoon snack and that is what I am requesting for my students.
