Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Many of my student population in the 6-8th grade has requested an arts & crafts club for after school. Once the students were identified we worked together to brainstorm ideas of crafts they would like to do after school. Students have requested two different types of key chain making ideas, one is based on different braiding and the other is beading in a way that makes different animals. Since there are many girls who are looking to stay they have also requested a friendship bracelet supplies. The project that excites me the most to see their creativity is their decorating mirror idea. The students have requested hand held mirrors, paint markers and use of the gemstone kit we already have to decorate mirrors with positive affirmations.

I am excited to bring back after school clubs to ensure a safe location for students to hang out with each other and practice their positive socialization with an activity.
