My Project

Help me create the classroom your children deserve!

In the fall I will be embarking on an incredible opportunity to teach at a school that is entirely dedicated to students with special needs.

It’s a privilege I hold with great responsibility and love. My vision for this carpet and floor seating is to create a learning space guided by Ubuntu, the belief that ‘I am because we are,’ or a belief in a universal bond of sharing that connects all humanity. I hope to create a space where every child feels empowered to learn and are given the space to grow in their unique way.

I plan to set up an affirmation station to encourage positivity and self-confidence, as well as a calming corner where students can find peace and process their emotions in a supportive space. These are just a few of the ways I hope to meet their individual needs.

I’m honored to teach special needs students this year and to create a space with an affirmation station and a calming corner. Your help will make an empowering classroom!
