Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have a combination class of Kindergarten and First-grade students who enjoy learning and are already tech-savvy. The current technology that we have in class is limited in speed and this cuts into our learning time.

Having a current MacBook Pro that will process Google Slides, PowerPoints, and programs faster will decrease the wait time so that we can be more productive.

I use various online resources to teach math, reading, science, and other subject areas. A MacBook Pro is necessary to have in a classroom in order to have access to the curriculum.

My students will be able to access various educational sites on the MacBook Pro that may not be available to them on an iPad. In order to use some programs on the iPad they need to be purchased, but not on a computer. For this reason, it is good to have more than one type of technology device in class. My students also need to know how to use computers in addition to the iPads that they use in class. Students will be able to look up information, listen to stories, see videos, and access sites for all the subject areas. Having technology opens their world beyond the school walls.
