My Project

Through the investment of donors in our initial project, "Modeling Through 3D Design and Printing in the Science Classroom", we were able to introduce middle school students to 3D design with TinkerCAD and engage them in modeling ideas through Flashforge 3D printing.

In this next step to that initiative, we want to add the improved design and size to our creations in order to remove the limits of the smaller, stationary workspace as well and removing the filament limits we have encountered so far.

The focus of this project is still to empower all kids to learn and show learning in the classroom through creative 3D design and printing. But my students want to reach out to other classroom by making this advance addition mobile. By creating a model station with a 3D printer and mobile cart, it will also empower my students to mentor students in other classrooms in the use of creative 3D modeling through 3D printing, with the focus being bring our program into our special needs classrooms where my students can be mentors in the use of TinkerCAD design and 3D printing.
