Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students now a days are so programmed to have more than one thing going on at a time, and it's difficult to get them to sit still for any amount of time while teachers are doing what they do best, teach! Students with ADHD have an exceptionally difficult time staying focused and engaged when they are constantly feeling the need to move or have some other stimulation. The difficult part is finding something they can do that's not distracting to the rest of the class and isn't just used as a "toy". Teachers are constantly trying to find what "works" for their kids and what type of stimulation or sensory these kids needs. My role in the school to help support them with behaviors and needs of these kids, and we are always looking for new sensory and fidget toys to help not only make learning more effective, but these kids' brains ready to learn.

Our teachers are already buying these things out of their own pocket, on top of the hundreds of dollars they spend yearly.

Providing these things for them will drastically decrease what they have to search and pay for.
