My Students

I love that my students are a spunky inquisitive bunch of fourth graders who are hungry for learning new things. They work very well together as a team. They are special because they respect each other’s differences and unique qualities.

My Project

These laptops will open up opportunities for my students to interact with digital literature, math fluency and challenge activities, remedial reading help and so much more. My classroom is the only 4th grade class without computers. My students are aching to participate in our Reading Counts literacy program but we need computers to do so. We also are not able to complete our iReady diagnostic tests and weekly required minutes of reading and math support without computers. We don’t have a Social Studies curriculum so having computers would allow my students to read and learn more about topics such as Florida history, Native Americans, and Florida government just to name a few. I have a student who can not read and students who need to be challenged. Having these laptops would open so many more doors for the diverse needs of my students.
