Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school has created an environment where students are encouraged to take ownership and accountability of their learning. Every child has their own strengths and areas needing improvement, and access to the right resources are just what they need in order to make tremendous growth. The students in both of my classes always put forward their full efforts to be better. They all care about their learning and strive to be the best learners they can be.

I teach a total of 19 diverse learners in an inclusion setting from both 2nd and 3rd grade classes.

Of those, 17 are language learners, and several also receive speech, social work, and occupational therapy services. They all inspire me to be the best I can every day, and they always do their best to improve as students and members to our community.

My Project

Printer ink is a necessity in any classroom, especially when promoting project-based and hands-on activities. We are very fortunate to have copy machines, but they only offer black ink, therefore limiting us to printing black and white copies. Having the option of printing in color will not only add color to our beautiful classroom and hallways, but more importantly, it will provide diverse learners the opportunity to work with vivid visual tools that would further assist them with their academic needs and make connections in their world outside of school.

By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and provide student choice, you will ultimately help to empower their abilities to be proud of their work, increasing their academic achievement.

Students will look forward to colorful academic material, whether they are supplementary activities for enrichment or reinforcement!
