My Students

Mother Teresa stated, "If you can't feed a hundred people, then just feed one." Helping mold young minds is one of the main reasons I am a teacher. I have some very well behaved, talented art students filled with integrity, who might not have a good home life such as enough food or even the proper school materials. No matter what my students are going through, they are always ready to learn so they can reach their goals. My students amaze me each day and they teach me as much as I teach them.

My Project

COVID-19 has reshaped the world of education for students around the world this past year. My students have had to learn to overcome challenges like never before to include learning from home and not being around their friends. They have lost so much this past year, I want to make sure they have all the supplies to be successful as we are returning back to our classroom! My art students create amazing projects such as handmade carts, jewelry, and various seasonal pieces. They use a variety of odds and ins that we collect and save through out the year, which gives them a basic art makerspace area. This year we are running low on supplies to due not being able to share as much due to COVID19, so I am requesting colored pencils and black sharpie markers that will allow my students to have access to a wide variety of pieces that will inspire them to continue to use their creativity to the fullest. With access to these supplies, my students will have the opportunity to create endless masterpieces that they will be proud to share with others. This is important after a year, where they have lost so much already. With your support my students will continue to learn and grow, as if COVID-19 had not affected them at all. Thank you for considering to support my students through this project.
