My Students

My students are part of a gifted and talented city-wide school. We are a growing school in our fifth year. My students' daily lives are grounded in inquiry and project-based projects. As a growing school, we are continuously adding books that students can truly enjoy. We believe that developing our diverse book collection will help our students be more respectful and understanding citizens.

My Project

As a growing school, we are adding more culturally relevant books into our classroom library. Students shared stories that represents a part of their identity and culture, and we are planning to fill our classroom libraries with their own recommended books.

As we are developing our cultural responsive curriculum, adding more books that represents our students is the first crucial step!

Thanks to your support, we can add more diverse books from minority authors that students can genuinely relate to and make personal connections. Moreover, students can gain multiple perspectives, enabling them to respect and appreciate each other.
