My students need specific cords to help them be able to use our Apple TV and iPad as an interactive tool. My student also need an indoor basketball hoop, and games.

My Students

Learning can be fun! Our school strives to make learning a positive and exciting experience for all students.

Sanders Academy is a small educational setting with a therapeutic component for students with varying emotional and behavioral difficulties that impact their school success.

Students are provided with positive behavior supports in a therapeutic learning environment. S. Academy services students grades 6-12.

My Project

Students at Sanders Academy will use these resources to help make our classroom a more interactive learning environment. Aside from the technology piece, our students will use the indoor basketball hoop as part of our schools PBIS initiative. Students' positive behavior and positive interactions help them earn an activity each Friday. Through the addition of these tools, students will learn to use current technology, which is not only helpful as they maneuver their way through their educational careers, but will be helpful as they transition into adult hood. With the addition of the indoor basketball hoop, students will learn the importance of having positive behavior. They will also use this hoop to work on basic mathematics skills.

This project will make a great difference in our classroom and in our school community.

Students in our classroom will be given the opportunity to gain 21st century skills. Aside from gaining 21st century skills, students will be provided with a positive behavior support through the purchase of the indoor basketball hoop. This project will help change my students' lives as it will give them access to materials that up until now they had no access to.
