This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Scientists, mathematicians, authors, artists, engineers, editors. Every day my students come into the classroom knowing they will have an opportunity to explore and develop another part of themselves. Many of them come from homes where their options, resources, and expectations are very limited. But when they come to school they have a chance to change that. I teach at a Title I school in North Carolina where 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.
With the proper environment, tools, and materials, the sky is the limit!
I strive to be able to provide my students with these things that they may feed their desire to learn, grow, and be the best they can be and more.
My Project
These tablets will provide the students with more opportunities to interact with technology and open them up to a multitude of resources we can rarely optimize with the limited number of computers available to them in the classroom.
If we want to continue to grow 21st century learners, we need to provide them with 21st century materials!
The students will increase their technological literacy and be able to use these tablets and cases to access digital books, additional reading and math programs, and writing activities. These opportunities will enhance their overall academic growth. The tablets will also allow for independent and group assignments to easily be completed, saved, edited, and submitted.
