My Project

I’m reaching out today on behalf of my incredible group of 4th and 5th grade students at Whittier Elementary. This year, we’re facing an important academic challenge: bridging the gap between 4th and 5th grade math. As you may know, math skills build year after year, and any missed foundational concepts can leave students struggling to keep up. To give my students the support they deserve, I’m raising funds to purchase high-quality, standards-based math workbooks that are designed specifically to target the skills students need to master for success in both grades.

These workbooks aren’t just pages filled with numbers—they are powerful learning tools that offer targeted practice, help build confidence, and provide opportunities for students to develop critical thinking skills at their own pace.

They’re designed for all learners, offering differentiation so that every child, no matter their current level, can grow and thrive. With these resources, I’ll be able to give my students the focused instruction they need—whether it’s reinforcing foundational skills, challenging advanced learners, or supporting students who need a little extra practice to close gaps caused by previous learning disruptions.

Each donation goes directly toward putting these workbooks into students’ hands. A gift of just $10 provides a book for one student. $50 can support a small group. And $100 or more brings us that much closer to supplying our entire classroom with the tools they need to succeed. For many of our students, this extra resource could mean the difference between frustration and confidence, between falling behind and moving ahead. Your support ensures every child has the opportunity to feel capable, supported, and successful in math.
