Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students from the Bronx are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! With the Covid pandemic, we need to find more creative and engaging ways to ensure kids are actively engaged remotely and within the blended classroom. They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, they are my inspiration!

My Project

My students are learning in the time of COVID and need your help to gain access to materials, content, and ownership of work--digitally. They are a great group of kids that are really trying hard to navigate this blended/remote learning, and the materials I am asking for will help them become more engaged and grasp skills, concepts, and topics just a little bit easier!

Nearpod and Flocabulary licenses will give my classes digital access to enhance my lessons with rich and engaging activities and scaffolds that deepen the lesson--allowing students to participate and show me their learning digitally, without necessarily having to "share out", unmute, or share their screens.

Nearpod will allow me to see their work in realtime as well as use and share student work as model exemplars. Flocabulary will give students access to videos that will be used as scaffolds and supports built into a lesson for further and deepening understanding of a topic, concept, or skill.

My students and I will greatly appreciate any help and support you can provide, especially during this trying time! Thank you.
