Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach a vibrant group of Kindergarten students who are full of energy, curiosity, and creativity. This year, I am working with a class that has shown incredible intellectual capacity, but they also need tools to help them channel their energy in positive ways. As a teacher in my second year at this school, I am still building up the materials in my classroom, many of which have come from generous donations by families in our community.

Our class has recently embraced activities like yoga and movement breaks, which have been transformative in helping students refocus and manage their energy levels.

However, we need the right materials to make these moments even more effective. Floor cushions will provide comfortable seating for yoga and calm corners, while sensory bands and timers will help manage transitions and support active engagement during lessons.

Additionally, having laminating sheets will allow me to create long-lasting, visual, and interactive materials to better support these students' needs. Your support will help us create a classroom where every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Thank you for believing in the potential of my incredible students.
