Active Mind Active Bodies

Help me give my students tools to stay active, hydrated, and engaged by incorporating storytelling into physical education with reusable water bottles, playground balls, and a smartwatch to track their progress.

My Project

The items requested in this project—playground balls, reusable water bottles, and a smartwatch—will directly enhance my students’ learning by promoting physical activity, teamwork, and healthy habits. The playground balls will be used for group activities that combine movement with learning, such as games that incorporate math, storytelling, or problem-solving skills. These activities will encourage collaboration, improve motor skills, and make learning more engaging and interactive. The reusable water bottles will ensure that students stay hydrated during these active lessons, helping them maintain focus and energy. The smartwatch will track physical activity and provide real-time feedback, allowing students to set fitness goals, monitor their progress, and understand the connection between physical health and academic success. These tools will create an environment where learning and movement go hand in hand.

The goal of this project is to integrate physical education into academic learning, helping students develop healthy habits, teamwork, and a positive attitude toward both fitness and education.

My students are special because they are energetic and thrive in active, hands-on learning environments. Many of them benefit from opportunities to move and engage physically while learning, and this project will give them the chance to channel that energy into productive and meaningful activities. By using these items, I hope to create lessons that not only strengthen their bodies but also inspire a lifelong love of learning and healthy living.
