Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

At our Title 1 school, my energetic and enthusiastic students thrive in PE, where they can move, play, and learn essential skills. However, much of our equipment, including foam balls, soccer balls, and volleyballs, wears out or goes missing due to frequent use. Foam balls, in particular, are versatile tools for teaching skills like rolling, throwing, catching, and kicking, but they are high-use items that get destroyed annually.

Wearable fitness watches will transform how my students learn about their health.

These watches will allow them to track their steps, heart rates, and activity levels, introducing them to self-monitoring and personal fitness. By pairing this technology with updated equipment, my students will gain the tools to improve their teamwork, physical skills, and understanding of wellness—both now and in the future.

By supporting this project, you’ll give my students the opportunity to stay active, healthy, and engaged. Your contribution will help them build confidence and develop essential life skills that extend far beyond the gymnasium.
