I teach an amazing group of students in a Title I school in North Carolina. Most of them qualify for free meals. They are great kids! They enter the room ready to work each day and are anxious to learn new things.
My Project
Too often students spend their school day writing and responding to class assignments the traditional way with pencil and notebook paper! Education is changing every day, and so are the interests of our students! Thus, it becomes a challenge to keep them focused.
Wouldn't it be exciting to give students avenues to become actively engaged in learning!
Allowing students to show their creativeness through nontraditional means of participation is sure to do the job!! Giving students opportunities to "show what they know" by solving problems and writing short responses on individual white boards have proven to liven up lessons.
The funding of this project, would also allow me to create posters and diagrams to enhance lessons I teach. In addition, funding would give my students opportunities to create posters to represent their learning. Oh, what fun they will have!
