Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

No one wants to talk about it but........Accidents Happen. Especially in an elementary school with ages 4-11. Sometimes our students are so engaged in learning that they wait a little too long to go to the bathroom.

As a school nurse I strive to have what my students need so they can get cleaned up and back to class quickly so that nobody has to know what happened.

When a student doesn't have a change of clothes it can take a long time for someone to bring them the needed items from home. Also, being a Title 1 school, many of the parents are unable to leave their job or do not have transportation to make a quick trip to school.

Our sweet students are always grateful to be able to return to class fresh and clean without drawing attention to the accident.
