Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Imagine a learning environment where students are highly engaged and motivated. The possibilities would be endless! The reality is that in the 21st century, every classroom deserves to be equipped with the latest, up-to-date technology.

As a new teacher, I am eager to service this diverse group of learners.

The majority of students are of Hispanic and African American background, though many also come from a variety of other backgrounds. Many students are English Language Learners and come from families of low socioeconomic status.

My Project

Having an LCD projector in the classroom would mean that my students would become active, rather than passive learners. It would provide them opportunities that a textbook could not. Students would have access to an endless amount of resources, and would be able to use information in a variety of ways. Students would be more motivated to learn, which in return would increase their self-esteem and confidence as learners.

This donation would change the lives of my students because it would provide them with experiences that they would otherwise not have.

The effects of technology show an increase in student motivation, focus on lessons, exposure to vocabulary, collaboration with peers and multi-sensory learning.
