My Project

This project will allow my students to put their math and science skills to the test. We wish to add accessible flower beds to the school garden, so all students can participate in hands-on activities or growing vegetables. This will give my students the advantage of connecting their measuring and fraction skills to real world examples and let them have some fun in the sun and dirt at the same time.

The goal of this project is to create an accessible hands-on experience that will benefit the students running the garden, as well as the whole school, where all can go pick the fruits and vegetables that it produces.

My students love learning about others and connecting with the world around them. What better way is there to nurture that love, than having them help with a hands-on vegetable garden that teaches them teamwork, caring, compassion, math, and science together.
