My Project

Transforming the math classroom into a positive learning environment requires teachers to actively listen to their students' needs and provide support accordingly. In my math classroom, I prioritize implementing a growth mindset as a crucial foundation. I regularly ask my students for feedback on how we can improve the learning dynamics and accommodate the diverse needs of all students, particularly those with additional disabilities or accommodations. As a teacher at a Deaf/Special Education state school, I understand the importance of repetition and review to ensure my students' success in math. However, I have noticed that many of my students struggle to keep their notes organized and accessible, which can hinder their learning.

When I ask my students to take out their notes, they scrambles in their backpack and pulled out the wrinkles and stained notes.

Unfortunately, due to budget constraints, my school cannot provide my students with gbc spiral binding notebooks, which would greatly benefit their accommodation needs. As a result, I would love to surprise my students with brand new spiral notebooks to support their learning needs in my math class.
