This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Shakespeare is often skipped over in ELA classes if students are intellectually and/or learning disabled. I believe that all students can access challenging texts.

By using the graphic novel version of Macbeth in conjunction with the original text, students will have the opportunity to grapple with challenging, grade level texts and engage in rigorous activities.

Rigor is about meeting students where they are and lifting their level of conversation, thinking, and processing. Students of all abilities can access Shakespeare if they given multiple access points. The graphic novel version will support this for my 10th graders.
