My Project

Please help my Pre-K students in Brooklyn, NY to further develop their literacy skills in fun and imaginative ways! My students love to sing, rhyme and pretend play. I am looking to enhance their learning by asking for a few things listed below.

We are learning about clothing and using My Felt Story Dress Me Up felt pieces will be used to enhance the imaginations of my students during our current clothing unit.

I want to engage in conversations around clothing that will develop their vocabulary further. By using Hal Leonard The Big Book of Nursery Rhymes and Children's Songs, students will develop phonemic awareness skills, alliteration knowledge and fluency.

Froggy Gets Dressed and Washer and Dryer's Big Job will help bring the clothing unit alive for my students which will help them make comparisons and connections to the world around them. The School Smart Frameless Dry Erase boards will encourage and enable my students to practice, without fear of making mistakes, to write words, engage in letter and sound recognition and build fine motor skills. The sandpaper letters will be used to help students trace letters to help them write words from our vocabulary list and will help with fine motor skills for the future.
