This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

With this project it is my goal to help my students with special needs continue to be engaged in their learning. Here are some ways these items will help my class.

The read and touch phonics and touch sensory subtraction sets will help boost students reading and math skills while helping meet their sensory needs.

The magna tiles help students with geometry skills and are a preferred item during necessary breaks in the academic day. The touch read and wipe cards will help students who struggle to write using pen and paper activities. The counting tubes and nuts will help provide hands on practice with math skills. The addition and alphabet centers will help will small group independence and the liquid sensory will help calm students when feeling overwhelmed.
