My Project

My students are amazing! Not only are they learning the grade level content, they are overcoming barriers to learning, and discovering what they need to grow and reach their goals. My students are experimenting to understand how their unique brains work, process information, and retain important ideas. They are practicing how to limit distractions, find motivation to keep trying if at first they feel only frustration, and to self-regulate their learning behavior.

The equipment in this project will help students access learning activities.

The various headphones give them opportunities to use their assistive technology and audio accommodations with greater comfort. The divider will create space to stay present, without feeling overstimulated or distracted. The yoga ball chairs, pedal exercisers, bouncy band for desks, and bouncy band foot roller give students mind-body advantages without creating distractions for others.
