Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are excited and invested in their education. However, not every student has the means to be academically confident and competitive. Engaging the creative side of my students' brains results in exceptional retention. Students are proud of their projects and remember what was taught much better when they have had the opportunity to express themselves creatively, through character journals, narrative writing, and creating images based on the details of a story or writing a postcard to the main character in the story.

While many students can easily procure necessary supplies such as watercolors, colored pencils, etc.

to go above and beyond with their creative expression, many students have to choose between daily necessities and academic supplies. Please help me bridge this gap for my students.
